Description:Customer service rep here. Agreeing with all of the stories about Vonage, We hate it to. And we hate the customers too. All idiots who fail to read the terms and conditions and then call in to complain. We get all types, our favorites include the people that complain about bill, we offer something, that then bills you higher and we get to take more of your money home. My favorites are all the Indian and middle eastern idiots, or as we call them here, "patels" If there was ever a group of idiots more cheap. hearing those accents on the phone can decide the type of call you will have, probably these cheap asses that think they deserve credit. To finish off, leave vonage at all costs. Or you will get ripped off, and I will reap the benefits of it.

Description:My company has contracted vonage as our VOIP provider. Since this happened I have had nothing but problems. Often when I am speaking with anyone internal or external, it constantly, and I mean constantly goes blank during the conversation. So we can talk for a minute, it blanks out, and then comes back while me and the other party are saying "are you there". Its not a good way to conduct business and affects my ability to work with customers. I also constantly have problems calling international. If I'm not getting a fast busy, it is totally dead air and never completes the call. I also have this weird recording that comes on when I try to make a domestic call that says "we are calling your party, please stand by"...and about 60% of the time it comes back on and says "we could not reach your party, please call again later". UGH! I then have to pick up my cell phone and make the call which goes right thru.

Description:Vonage is supposed to be the best in Voip service however i think they are only the best at marketing the public. something like mkyds they have the most commercials so its who you go with. I got the service because with the competitor my voip was only at 43% because of jitters. I set the vonage up and still the same exact issue so now im praying that my phone bill will be lower at least. Ill be sure to come back and let you know

Description:Okay, Vonage started out as a pretty good service, good internet, good everything! That is, until later on, the internet started going all crazy! We called Vonage and they said "It might be an issue with yo router" And that bullcrap. We checked the router and it wasn't messing up. It was fine. Then we found out, VONAGE WAS MESSING WITH EVERYONE'S INTERNET! We called them again that our router was fine and everything then they say "we do not know sir, please try again later, if it doesn't work after a while, pls call us again." then I said "may I please speak to your manager?" then he replied with "no he is busy" then I yelled into the microphone "I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR MANAGER!" I got connected to the Manager and told him all the things wrong with my router and such, also how crappy the customer service is, he replied with "I'm sorry you had a horrible time with the service, and we can not fix your router issue. We're really sorry." I had steam coming out of my head, ears, and mouth, I hung up, threw the phone at the wall (don't worry, it was vonage's crap phone, not those awesome smartphones.), I got the modem/router, threw it on the sidewalk, got my hammer, AND SMASHED IT UP LIKE THE WORLD WAS ENDING. I also threw the phone out in the garbage, have a nice life in the dump Vonage. A day later, I went to Verizon and they got me set up perfectly. Good Customer service, good internet, everything was now fine and dandy at my house now.

Description:Actually had Vonage for 3-1/2 years without too many issues. Recently, I started having connectivity issues, which would inexplicably repair themselves after a few hours. Not good when you're 84, in poor health, and need access to 911. Then a few weeks ago, while I was in the hospital, Vonage cold-called my wife, and talked her into a second line we had no use for. Once I got to feeling better, I called them up to cancel. My son (who helped with the call) and I told them that they added that second line without my permission. Their response? Since we SAY we require your permission to add a line, and since we added a line, we therefore must've had your permission. This is a Logic 101 fail: If A implies B, that B is true says nothing about A. Vonage told this lie twice during my cancellation call.

Description:Vonage is truly horrible. I am amazed that a group of customers have not created a class action lawsuit against these idiots for selling vaporware.

Description:I cancelled Vonage, but it takes almost a month for them to give your number over to the new company. They so this to charge you for another month of service. I used it for 6 more days and they won't refund the rest if the payment! Glad I switched to a cable company. Don't get Vonage!!!!

Description:There was a huge layoff in Vonage headquarters this week. Over 50 American workers were let go, sending more jobs overseas. Good luck getting somebody who speaks English, the next time you call there for help!
