Description:No refund is what they told me because of thier no refund policy. I had canceled the service this morning due to the rliable service. I had already paid through 12/25/13. They are offering Vonage credit. really? I thought I just canceled their service. What am I going to use the credit for? the cancellation was due to the line/modem going down periodically and lately, the modem won't even reset. I had no land line for over a month!!! Canceling was hard as their website hides their phone number... Avoid Vonage at all cost!!!

Description:I'm a vonage customer for almost 3 years , slowly i see my bill raising from $25 to $70 on monthly basis,if one of the month exceeds 3000 minutes , then they change your calling plan automatically to power user where it comes to $49 + tax + other surcharges comes to $70, this happened for the past 3 months, then finally i decided to cancel my account. Here are some gimmick words they use and cheat customers. 1)Unlimited international calling - But they say a usage cap of 3000 minutes , and the cap is based on 99% users how they use which is printed in fine print in TOS, but why the heck they say unlimited, do they know the meaning of unlimited ? 2)They send an email and change the plans automatically without calling the customers and confirming with them. 3)When you try to cancel the account manager will give some bonus like offering for 3 months , and again you will be cheated back after the bonus period. If they have a CAP for minutes , let them give advertisement with those details properly instead of printing in TOS with fine print, this allows to cheat and lure customers. People there are many services which are of low cost where majority of people are not aware...i finally use google voice with Bluevox to call international ...They truly provide unlimited , i mean there is no ccap .. my total bill now is $9.99 for local and international calling.

Description:I have been using Vonage since May 2013 to make calls to my husband in India while we wait for our immigration paperwork to be completed. Throughout this time I've had God knows how many issues with making calls. There were many times when the system was "down" or some form of maintenance being done and I couldn't make any calls. Then after the maintenance, I still couldn't make calls, hear my husband or the calls would be dropped with my phone saying there was an issue with Vonage. My husband can't call me because it is so expensive, so this is really the only way I have to contact him and it really bums me out if I can't get through to him. I have had to buy a backup calling card because the service has been so awful. Plus, the billing for this company has made me mad since day one. After the $19.99/month for three month deal, it says it goes up to $24.99/month. I have ALWAYS gotten a bill for $37.17/month. The fees, taxes, etc...are ridiculously high and out of hand. All these things have been annoyances, but today was the day that has pushed me over the edge with these people. Today, I got an email from them stating that I have used too many minutes on my unlimited minute plan that I pay for!! WTF??? How can you use too many unlimited minutes? I only call to India and only to my husband. It's not like I'm calling 50 different people and using 10000 minutes a month. I'm talking to my husband 2-4 hours a day pretty much everyday, but I am highly offended that they have sent me such an email. I mean it states in the plan I use that I have unlimited international calls and their commercials also say the same thing. They even specifically mention India as one of the places that has unlimited calls! I called the customer service people and they didn't help at all. The woman I talked to said that it was a different department that had sent the email. I told her to transfer me to that department and she said she couldn't because it was separate from them, but I could respond to the email I got and they would call me back in 24-48 hours. Seriously, that is super shady and I am pissed off that I couldn't talk to a human regarding this matter today. I about lost it when I was talking to her, but luckily I was able to keep my composure. I instead sent a nasty email to the department that sent me the original email. I am searching for a new company that does a similar service and as soon as I find it, I am leaving Vonage for good!

Description:They said I can cancel. I want to cancel, but the customer service can't do it. Every day and night she transfers me to Account Managers Team WHO NEVER GET ON THE PHONE WITH ME! Waited 15 min. last night. Then again for 1/2 hour. Called customer service and they said they were backed up. They won't take the phones back at Walmart. They said my first charge would be a month from now and they just charged me! 9.99 = $18.79! I have not even plugged in the phones yet.

Description:I'm paying for a fax machine and a basic telephone line. The fee for these two items comes up to around $21.00 a month. My total bill comes to just about $39.00 with fees and taxes or approx. 50% more in fee's and taxes. One fee is for a 911 tax on my fax machine. I called Verizon and was on the telephone for over 42 min. They changed my phone from $12.50 down to $9.95 to lower my bill. It took almost 1 hr. to save a few bucks with. I'm now looking for a new telephone company. Saving me $2.00 is nothing.

Description:Everytime Vonage needs more money to appease the greedy shareholders, they raise the cost or add an additional fee to your bill. How does it feel, suckers? I work for them and I love the extra money that we get for meal allowances.

Description:After finding Vonage's service and quality abysmal, I decided to port my business numbers to another VOIP company who takes business customers seriously. It's now a month since our 888 number was ported to the new provider, but any Vonage customers calling that number get a "not in service" message. For anybody outside Vonage's greasy grasp, calls to the 888 number get through fine. Okay, so NUMEROUS calls to Vonage (customer service and tech support) all result in the same thing. They explain that the number doesn't seem to have been properly removed from the Vonage database - so Vonage customers are getting the wrong message. Every Vonage person I've spoken to has promised that the problem would be rectified "within 24 hours" - but it's now a month and still no luck. Clearly all these people are completely incompetent (very possible) or the whole Vonage company is just plain broken (also very possible). Even worse - only once in all these calls have I actually spoken to anybody in the US. Everything else has been with India (or maybe the Philippines) - who cares, they're both completely worthless. Don't use Vonage - find somebody local who actually cares about their customers and your life will be much less stressful.

Description:It is disheartening to read all the horror stories from customers. Let me tell you, being a contractor who occasionally does install/repair for Vonage is no better. They low-ball so badly that they will punish the customer, and then proceed to lie about it, all while blaming it on the technician because they don't want to pay a decent T&M rate to get the work order covered by a professional. So next time they tell you it was the techs fault, think twice as they probably never had a technician scheduled in the first place and are waiting for the first fool willing to drive 2 hours and put out for materials for $40.

Description:Vonage treats their employees the same way they treat their customers. They decreased the amount of call handle time that the phone agents are measured against for their bonus checks so that Vonage will pay less out for performance. Who loses? Both customers and employees. You get a shorter, unresolved call to Vonage and they don't meet their unrealistic goal!
